The eye of Luigi Rincicotti belongs to the Fable. That is why the characters of his paintings are living in the light of a fairy tale. The Italian artist of the 15th century contributes something to the atmospheres of Rincicotti, as well as his time in Venice. The painting of Luigi Rincicotti is today in Italy one of the most creative consequences most in line with the Post-Modern current.
In the work of this painter, born in Marches, but of Venetian formation, form and color are fused in a modern figuration which announces the infinite possibilities of a sign system. Color occupies the main space in the painting, but Rincicotti’s varied chromatic range is always finalized in symbol so that every color, or variation of colors, corresponds to a form.
Luigi Rincicotti’s new figuration, not necessarily human figuration is pure pictorial representation. Like any skillful, story-teller, a moral is never missing in his work. Theater is in fact Rincicotti’s world and is inhabited with puppets, which he calls masks owing to the content.
It is well-known that masks are not used to hide, but to bring to the surface the inner essence. In the end, the painting is to satisfy the seeing eye. |
